The Chamber was represented at the celebration by the President, Alhaji Fatai Adegboyega Shokunbi; Deputy President, Business Development & Partnership, Amb. Nicky Maxwell; and Director-General, Mr. Emmanuel Essien.

The celebration brought together members of the Diplomatic Corps representing various countries, distinguished guests and notable high ranking Government officials and personalities from the Republic of Benin, providing an important platform for diplomatic engagement, relationship-building and the celebration of Nigeria’s national heritage.

Also in attendance were the Comptrollers of the Nigeria Immigration Service and Nigeria Customs Service at the Seme-Krake Joint Border Post, as well as the Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The presence of key diplomatic, border-management and security stakeholders further highlighted the importance of continued cooperation between Nigeria and Benin, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, border management, security and regional economic integration.

For the NB-CCI, the occasion provided another valuable opportunity to strengthen institutional relationships and reaffirm our commitment to working with the Embassy of Nigeria in Benin Republic and other relevant stakeholders towards a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria–Benin economic relationship.

Happy 66th Independence Anniversary to Nigeria!
